University College, London
This page gives more detail than the summary on the “My Options” page.
- Location: Central London
- Possible topics: TBD
- Department/Centre: Psychology and Language Sciences, in the UCL Interaction Centre
- Advantages:
- Central London
- UCL is one of the top five universities in the world, according to the QS World University Rankings
- Disadvantages: Central London is expensive to live in and time-consuming to get to if you don’t live there
- Fees: For 2011-2012, fees are listed at £18,400. Yowza! Another page implies that fees will all go up for 2012-2013, but it isn’t clear how this will affect graduate programs.
Some thoughts
UCL didn’t fare very well in my analysis of the universities and their characteristics, and essentially I felt that it had too hard-edged a feel for my comfort level. And I don’t really want to be in a computer science department.
