My PhD thesis is now online!

I don’t have much to say with this post, except that I have received word that my thesis has been placed in the Northumbria Research Link. Here’s the link to it. I’d love to know what you think, and if you’re interested in collaborating on future research, please do get in touch.

  1. hello : I work for the Environment Agency and they are seriously into staff Well Being. As part of that, there is a growing interest in Mindfulness, to which I am contributing. My background can be found here : (more info can be sent if required). I have just downloaded your Thesis (thank you). And I would be interested in any synergy you feel your work would have and my current pursuits. I have 3 related areas of interest : (1) the potential clash between older traditional Mindfulness and the new psychological self-help variety (2) those following item (1) consistently may possibly experience ‘transcendent experiences’ but perhaps without the support older religious bodies may have provided and (3) the use of new technologies : can you take Mindfulness into new technology formats, VR/AR etc. yes, you can but will it change, develop, be hindered? how do we explain Transcendent Experiences to AI? regards D
